We celebrated the New Year with a house full.
Mike & Julie plus family, together with Rik & Caroline
ensured a lively start to 2010.

Just before Christmas we had a good fall of snow.
It was the portent of much more cold weather to come in the new year.
We had a white Christmas for a change!

Graham Moss helped me fulfill a longstanding ambition to stay the night at the very remote Skiddaw House Hostel
Situated on the eastern slopes of Skiddaw it provided us the perfect opportunity the next day to climb the 3054 feet, 931 metres, peak in lovely weather.
