On the way to Pen-y-ghent I pass the spectacular Ribblehead viaduct.
A well timed train then arrived!
My approach path climbs the north western slopes.
It was a VERY windy day
and I am holding on to the trig point.
Still windy
and with Ingleborough in the background.
The striking outline of the limestone layers
Pen-y-ghent, 694 metres, 2278 feet high
From further away
still an imposing sight.
